story of london: THE GREAT FIRE OF LONDON
Sunday 2nd september
it was 1 o'clock in the morning . The church bells woke me up.The air was full of smoke.I opened the window and looked out.Our house was next door to the bakery and our house was on fire.Dad and I escaped across the roof.The fire spread very fast.
Monday 3rd september
in the morning we found some buckets and helped with the fire , but it was impossible. there was a very strong winf and the flames jumped from building to builiding . the south of the city burned down. we went to the river to find boat.
Tuesday 4th september
ther were some explosion near the Tower of Londoy . They made a circle around some buildings and blew them up to save the Towe . That night the centre of the city and St Paul's Cathedral burned down.The fire was so hot, the stones from the cathedral flew out
Wednesday 5 th september
finally we found a boat and sailed across the river. the scene from the other side was terrible.The whole ity was on fire Even the birds fell out of sky becouse it was so hot and smoky.

Finally the wind stopped and the fire went out . We were very tired and we slept by the side of the river.

the next day we visited the city to see the destruction.It was terrible.More than 13,000 houses 87 churches and all the main buildings in the city burned down.200,000 people lost their homes
